Scope
MEM was commissioned by the City of Melbourne to design and implement an LED rollout at Princes Park Bowls Club for the bowling green lighting. The objective was to enhance lighting efficiency, performance, reduce neighbouring glare, and improve safety throughout the site.
Methodology
MEM collaborated with a lighting consultant to enhance the lighting system, focusing on achieving uniformity and consistency across the bowls greens while adhering to Australian Standards and meeting playing requirements. Additionally, efforts were made to address and mitigate glare concerns for neighbouring residential properties.
Outcomes
MEM implemented a cost-effective solution across the site, utilising existing poles and infrastructure. By installing asymmetric fittings, we achieved excellent output, reduced running costs, and enhanced lighting for competitive lawn bowls.
