Scope

The New Horizons Research Centre fosters collaborative research endeavours and serves as a hub for global research and teaching partnerships. Following its inauguration, it was determined that 67 emergency stop (E-Stop) installations were needed in each laboratory area, with utmost care taken to avoid disruption to ongoing research activities.

Methodology

By directly engaging with every stakeholder and lab manager, we orchestrated a programme of works that safeguarded uninterrupted research operations and minimised research downtime. Our meticulous planning, thorough preparation, and deep understanding and adherence to PC2/PC3 compliance requirements ensured the successful and timely completion of the project within budget.

Outcomes

The completed works empowered laboratory users to safely and efficiently isolate power within their respective environments in case of an emergency, without disrupting other laboratory areas or ongoing research.
